I was so excited to get an email from the Barnes and Noble this morning, and I think we're going to be narrowing down a date for the October Wonky Witch 10th Anniversary Party very soon! I don't think the party will be on Halloween weekend, but it will probably be the weekend before. But I'm not sure yet. As soon as I know definitely, I will post it here and on the website. I will be appearing at the Bel Air Barnes and Noble this coming Saturday from 1-2pm for a fundraiser event for the Center for the Arts. So stop by and say hi! But while I'm there, we will be chatting about the October party and trying to get some details ironed out. Even though it seems like it's so far away, it really isn't. It's June 1st already, and the summer will fly by as it usually does. And before you know it, we will be sipping hot cider, going pumpkin picking, and celebrating The Wonky Witch!
This party is just going to be amazing. I can't wait to tell you guys all about it, but I can't reveal too much. I have certain things I'm really hoping for, but we shall see. And of course, the release of the fourth Wonky book, The Wonky Witch and the Weird Warlock, will be the best part! Also, if you want me to come to your school this fall, get your librarian or reading specialist in touch with me as soon as possible to book a date. The week before the party will fill up quickly, I'm sure.
The way I see it, this party will be the cherry on top (or pumpkin on top) of a wonderful year so far with my writing. I released a book this past holiday season that I am very proud of. And I hope if you haven't read A Hippopotamus for Christmas, that you read it soon. If not, read it this holiday season! It was so much fun to work on, and I know you'll just love it. I have really enjoyed releasing my holiday collection over the last few years. But now I am ready to dive back into Maude's world!
Get ready for The Wonky Witch and the Weird Warlock! It's going to be the best Wonky book yet! It's going to be epic!
