What an amazing and fun time I had at the Release Party at the Bel Air Barnes and Noble this past Saturday! The afternoon was full of magic, new friends, and excitement! I couldn't have asked for a better event.
We hadn't even finished setting up before eager new friends arrived, excited to get a book signed and join in the activities. But once the line started forming, I jumped behind my table and got to work!
As the flow of friends kept coming up to my table, I was able to see Amelia Grace's beautiful face painting first-hand! I loved all of the bubbling potion bottles, black cats, and Wonky Witch symbols that kept passing by my table. I made sure to get a few pictures of them! The wands looked wonderful as well. There were glittered wands, wands with stars on the tips, and even wands with streamers flowing down from the ends. You all did such a great job decorating them. And then there was the photo booth. The pictures I have of you all dressed up as witches and wizards are so great! It looked like so much fun. I wish I could have thrown a cape around my neck and a witch hat on my head and jumped on the broom with you!
Thank you to everyone who made this Release Party happen. Thank you to my friends who stepped up and helped when the crowds came. Thank you to the Barnes and Noble for hosting such a fun event. And thank you to my readers, who I can picture now in their living rooms on these cold fall evenings, cuddled up with a copy of The Wonky Witch. Some of you even bought the whole series so far! Thank you so much for your support and for your excitement. I wouldn't be where I am today as a writer without you all!
So...whew! Now that the first Release Party is over, I will see you at the next one, right? Right? Halloween at the Joppa Library from 3-4pm. Be there or be square! Well, not really square...maybe sad. Well, maybe not sad. I mean, it is Halloween. Okay...fine....be there for the magic! You won't want to miss it!
